We also explored the historic Grade II listed Victorian Pavilion, which includes the famed Long Room and Players' Dressing Rooms. After that, we were treated to the new stands. With stunning views of the Ground, the Morgan Media Center and the brand-new Compton and Edrich stands are vantage points for spectacular views of the pitch.

As a cricket enthusiast, it was an exciting moment when I saw the genuine Ashes Urn – cricket’s best-known artefact. I learnt a bit of its fascinating history. The renowned artefact is believed to contain the ashes of a burnt cricket bail. It was given to England cricket team captain Ivo Bligh as a private gift during a friendly game held at Sunbury's Rupertswood estate during the 1882–1883 Australian tour. The Marylebone Cricket Club received the urn as a gift after he passed away, and it is now on display at London's Lord's Cricket Ground.

The Museum on the other hand, tells the wonderful tale of cricket via paintings, pictures, and artifacts spanning 400 years of cricket history.

Needless to say, it was a really interesting 100-minute tour, with a great history of the famed "Home of Cricket". Any cricket enthusiast should pay a visit! Should you too want to pay a visit, keep in mind that the museum is open all year and is a stop on the popular Lord's Tour. Admission to the museum is only available when you book a ground tour. The Museum is open on match days to those who have purchased a ticket for that day's game.
