The plot follows Dick and his cat from Jamaica. They seek their fortune on Catford’s streets of gold. The atmosphere is packed with joyful, enthusiastic energy. However, adversity waits in the form of Queen Rat. Her chaotic rodent army causes mayhem for our heroes.

Durone Stokes shines as the hopeful Dick Whittington. He plays his character with sweet charm, loving and wholesome. Justin Brett is hilarious as the classic dame, Sarah the Cook - she was all smiles and beautiful to watch how her goofy dame made people squirm in their seats worried they would get picked for the classic 'choose an audience member to embarass' panto moment. Their on-stage chemistry is simply palpable. Together, they anchor the show with perfect comic timing. Their performances, along with the lovely Vincent the Cat, were so much fun to watch.

The creative team builds a vibrant, immersive world for an unforgettable experience. A fantastic soundtrack of modern covers drives the show’s celebratory spirit and it bright, colourful aesthetic and random scenery - like a fantastically out-of-place 'under the sea' theme is beautifully done blends classic panto visuals with a fresh perspective. This fusion of styles is a creative victory.
